Whitehorse Village, Pennsylvania

HEATAC installed the nation's first metered space conditioned service using geothermal heat pumps in commercial applications. They now have over 3,000 tons of capacity in operation. HEATAC bears the costs of installing, operating and maintaining the geothermal heat pumps over the life of a typical 20 year contract and charges the building operator for space heating, cooling and water heating service on a per million BTU basis.

An 1100 ton geothermal system for Whitehorse Village, an elder care center in Gradyville, PA, was the largest installed by HEATAC at that time. The center includes residential, medical and community activity buildings.
